For students who are proficient on their instruments, Youth Symphony provides the opportunity to play more advanced orchestral repertoire. Youth Symphony members should currently be studying with a private instructor and able to sight read at an intermediate to advanced level.
Each year Youth Symphony prepares three concerts in fall, winter, and spring, along with additional opportunities in December and June. There are also a number of optional Community Concerts and outreach performances throughout the season. This year, Youth Symphony will be joining the Denver South Orchestra and Mile High Academy Choir for their Christmas concert in December.
Rehearsal: This ensemble will meet Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm. Each session includes a 15-minute break for snacks and social interaction.
